Cresent's Dog Cookies

In memory of WTCH Davies' Cresent Wrangler, HXAs, HRDIII, CDX, RD, Honor Dog


6 cups oat flour  (can use human oatmeal ground in a blender to make flour)

1 container chicken livers (about 1lb)

1 apple (cored)

1 kale leaf (optional)

1 egg with shell

1 lg clove garlic

2TBS whole milk yogurt (optional)

Pre-heat oven to 400º 

Put 6 cups oat flour in large mixing bowl or large pot. Blend other ingredients in a blender until smooth, (you may need to add a bit of water to blender). Add blended ingredients to flour and mix well. Mixture may be loose, let stand 10-15 minutes to stiffen or add a bit more flour. Use 2 teaspoons to drop batter onto greased baking sheets, and flatten to small cookie size.

Bake at 400º for 20 min      Makes 5-6 dozen    My dogs go wild for these!


Note: You can use any fruits and /or vegetables in this recipe, no onions, grapes, raisins, potatoes or spinach. My other favorite veggies are, sweet potatoes, summer or winter squashes, parsley, bananas.
